Are you approaching your practical test date at Isleworth (Fleming Way), Slough (Bath Road), or Southall? Statistics show that the #1 reason for failure isn't a lack of skill—it's test-day nerves and unfamiliarity with exam conditions.

At Drivetime (Est. 1987), we provide a 2-hour "Exam Simulation" that almost mirrors what you will experience on the big day. We don’t just "go for a drive"; we put you under the microscope so you can fix your mistakes before the big day.

What Happens During Your 2-Hour Mock Session?

Our mock tests are divided into two crucial phases:

Phase 1: The Formal Assessment (40 Minutes)

Your instructor becomes a "Silent Examiner." You will experience:

  • The Eyesight Check: Reading a number plate from 20m.
  • 'Show Me, Tell Me' Questions: The 2026 DVSA safety questions.
  • Independent Driving: 20 minutes of following a Sat-Nav or road signs.
  • The Marking Sheet: You will be graded on Dangerous, Serious, and Minor faults.

Phase 2: The Remedial Fix (60 Minutes)

This is the most valuable part of the session. We don't just tell you that you failed; we show you how to fix it.

  • Fault Analysis: We drive back to the exact spot where you made a mistake.
  • Expert Correction: We master that "trap" junction or difficult roundabout until you can do it perfectly.

Mock Examination FAQ's

Yes. A professional mock test identifies "blind spots" that you or your family members might have missed. It is the most effective way to ensure you don't waste your £62 DVSA test fee on a failed attempt.

We specialize in Isleworth (Fleming Way), Slough (Bath Road), and Southall/Greenford. We know the common routes and the specific junctions where examiners often take students.

Absolutely. We welcome learners from other schools or those who have been practicing privately. A fresh pair of expert eyes is often exactly what is needed to secure a pass

Preparation is the first step toward a first-time pass. At Drivetime School of Motoring (Est. 1987), we’ve helped thousands of students in Hounslow, Maidenhead, and across West London start their journey with confidence. Whether you are learning in a Manual or Automatic car, here is how to get ready for your introductory session:

1. Bring Your Provisional License
This is a legal requirement. Your instructor must check your photocard license before you can get behind the wheel. Please have this ready at the start of your first 1:1 session.

2. Check Your Vision
You must be able to read a standard UK number plate from a distance of 20 metres. If you require glasses or contact lenses for distance, please ensure you are wearing them.

3. Wear Suitable Footwear
For the best "pedal feel" and safety, we recommend flat shoes with thin soles (like trainers). Avoid heavy boots, high heels, or flip-flops, as these can make clutch control and braking more difficult for beginners.

4. Be Rested and Ready
Driving requires 100% concentration. Ensure you are well-hydrated and have had a good night’s sleep. Our instructors provide a calm, patient environment, especially for nervous novices in the Heston, Osterley, and Cranford areas.

5. Review the Highway Code
While not mandatory for your first lesson, having a basic understanding of road signs will give you a head start. At Drivetime, we integrate Theory and Practical learning simultaneously to help you progress faster toward your test at Isleworth or Slough.
